    J.F.D. Landscapes is looking for a Lawn Care Technician at a $ 17.50/hour starting pay with no experience. The potential for career advancement to Lawn Care Applicator Level 2, Construction Crew Leader Level 1, 2 & 3, Maintenance Crew Leader Leve, Lawn Care Account Manager, Maintenance Account Manager, and Operations Manager. This position reports to the Account Manager, works Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m., with occasional Saturdays if desired, and a guaranteed lunch break.

    We’re looking for someone who doesn't like working inside, good-humored and dedicated applicants who are at least 18 years old and capable of safely and efficiently operating and transporting lawn care equipment in the great outdoors. If you have a full range of mobility in your upper and lower body, able to consistently lift 50lbs., have a valid Ohio driver’s license that can be insurable by our insurance company, and have truck and trailer driving and back-up skills, you may be the perfect fit to become part of our family-oriented team. While experience is always a plus, it is not a necessity as we can train the right individual who impresses us with their willingness to learn.

    In this role, you will:

    - Learn the lay of the land during a 90-day introductory period.

    - Test and improve your endurance by frequently lifting at least 50 pounds.

    - Take on hands-on learning with instructions and tasks assigned by Account Manager/Supervisor.

    - Partake in maintaining a safe and efficient workplace in accordance with J.F.D. and client standards.

    - Exemplify self-reliance by working independently and completing all jobs on time.

    - Get to know clients by learning their names and interacting with them in a professional and courteous manner on a daily basis.

    - Perform all daily preventative maintenance (PM) on company vehicles and equipment after utilizing them on job sites.

    - Feel a sense of achievement as you help maintain, J.F.D. buildings, yard, vehicles, trailers, and client work sites in a clean and organized manner.

    - Comply with all safety rules and company policies per our company handbook.

    - Operate a state-of-the-art smart device for the purpose of phone, scanning, email, photos, job site navigation, and time tracking.

    - Flex your intelligence by reading and understanding chemical labels, performing simple mathematical calculations, accurately measuring products in both liquid and granular forms, and legibly completing all paperwork as required by law.

    - Keep your team members safe by maintaining all chemical storage areas in the buildings and trailers up to standard and adhering to appropriate personal protective equipment guidelines while applying any chemicals.

    - Understand and identify problems on assigned client sites and possess the knowledge of when to advise Account Manager/Supervisor of issues.

    - Perform basic equipment maintenance and repairs when required.

    - Present your knowledge about the business by understanding our production goal system for the day and its impact on total company profitability.

    Calling all Maintenance Crew Leaders! If you’re friendly and love the satisfaction of working hard outdoors, we’d love to hear from you. Every Maintenance Crew Leader applicant must be at least 18 years old and speak and understand English. If you can safely and efficiently operate commercial maintenance equipment in the great outdoors, you may be the perfect fit for the job. An ideal candidate should also be energetic and capable of handling a moderate physical workload.

    We’re also looking for someone with a valid Ohio driver’s license that can be insurable by our insurance company and has confidence in their ability to expertly drive and back up a truck and trailer. We here at J.F.D. Landscapes in Auburn Township near Chagrin Falls, Ohio have a problem and maybe you can help.

We love landscaping, we started landscaping back in the 1988 with the drought and a dethatcher to repair lawns, and we still have that same dethatcher to this day. Our company has been growing and expanding ever since we officially began in March 1989. We have been creating and maintaining beautiful landscapes ever since.

Our problem is, because we continue to grow, we need more great people for our company! We are looking for great people who love being outdoors, enjoy working with a team, and love the feeling of accomplishment at the end of the day.
